When a CMS item is published in Webflow, so-me studio shares it to the social accounts you choose. A draft is not shared. An archived item is not shared.

Requirements

You need:
  • A so-me studio account.
  • Auto share turned on for your workspace. The product gate is AUTO_SHARE. The Webflow code does not name a public plan.
  • At least one social account already connected in so-me studio. That account is where the post goes.
  • A Webflow site with a CMS collection.
  • A published template page for that collection, so the public link can be built. If Webflow has no template page, the link uses the collection slug instead.

Install

You can install so-me studio from the Webflow Marketplace, or connect the site from the dashboard. Both paths authorize the same sites. The access token stays on so-me studio servers.

Start the install

On the Marketplace listing, choose Install. Or, in so-me studio, open Social Accounts and choose Connect Webflow.

Select the sites you want and authorize the app.

Return to so-me studio

You land on Social Accounts. Each site you authorized appears as its own connection.

Configure in Webflow

Open the site in the Webflow Designer and open the so-me studio app. The panel shows whether this site is connected, and the same rule you edit in the dashboard. Saving in the Designer updates that rule. The app does not add code to the published site.

Configure in so-me studio

Open Auto share and create a rule for the Webflow site.
  • Leave Collections empty to watch every collection.
  • Name one or more collections to limit the rule to those.
  • Write a caption. The tokens are in the table below.
  • Choose the social accounts that should receive the post.
  • Turn Auto-publish on to send the post live. Leave it off to save a draft for review.

Caption placeholders

The default template is {title} followed by {link}. If your template never includes the link, the link is still added at the end. {title} and {link} are not cut short to fit a platform limit. Only the excerpt shrinks.

What is shared and what is skipped

A rule shares an item only when all of these are true:
  • The item is published. lastPublished must be a real date.
  • The item is not a draft and not archived.
  • The item was created after the rule. Publishing the site later does not push older items.
  • The item was published after the rule last ran.
  • The item’s collection is on the allow-list, or the allow-list is empty.
Recent activity on the rule shows what was shared, what was saved as a draft, and what failed.

Permissions

The app does not ask to edit CMS items.

Data and privacy

so-me studio reads published CMS items, the site, and pages. It stores the access token encrypted, the Auto share rule, and the share history. It does not store your Webflow password. It does not add code to your published site.

Uninstall

Disconnect the site in so-me studio, or uninstall the app in Webflow. Either one stops sharing. The publish webhook for that site is removed, and the stored token is no longer used. Posts that already went out stay where they were published. Connect the site again if you want sharing to resume.

Troubleshooting

An item was not shared. Check that it is published, not a draft, and not archived. Check that it was created after the rule. Check that its collection is allowed. Check that the rule has a social account. Open Recent activity on the rule. The link in the post is a 404. The link is built from your custom domain when Webflow has one, otherwise from your-site.webflow.io, plus the template page path. Publish the template page, and publish the site to the domain you expect. If the origin or the slug is missing, the link is left empty rather than pointed at a broken host. so-me studio asks you to reconnect. Webflow rejected the token. Disconnect the site and connect it again. Sharing stays off until you do.
