Social media studio analyzes when your audience is most likely to engage and recommends the best times to publish, separately for each connected account.

What you see

For each connected account, Best Times shows:
  • Weekly heatmap — a day-by-hour grid where each cell is colored by its engagement score, so you can spot the strongest windows at a glance.
  • Top recommended windows — your best posting slots, spread across the week, each with an “N× average” multiplier showing how much better that slot performs than your typical post.
  • Audience timezones — the timezones your audience is most concentrated in, so recommendations make sense for where your followers actually are.

How it works

When an account has enough recent post history, recommendations are personalized from your own engagement data. Until then, Social media studio shows research-based platform defaults so you always have a sensible starting point. Recommendations refresh automatically every day. You can also trigger a manual recompute per account at any time to pull in your latest posts right away.
Personalized recommendations kick in once an account has enough recent posts. Below that threshold, you’ll see smart platform defaults instead. New accounts always start with defaults and become more personalized as you publish more.

Platform coverage

  • Instagram — has the richest personalization, including audience-activity signals on top of engagement.
  • Other platforms — currently use smart, research-based defaults.
  • Messaging-only platforms — WhatsApp, Telegram, Slack, and Discord are excluded, since they aren’t posting destinations.

Accessing

Open Best Times from the sidebar. Select a connected account to view its heatmap, recommended windows, and audience timezones. Use the manual recompute action to refresh that account’s recommendations on demand.
Pair your recommended windows with Scheduling and the Calendar to line up posts with your strongest engagement slots.
