The Create Post page is the main composer. Write once, customize per platform, and publish or schedule to any number of connected accounts in a single flow.

How to create a post

Navigate to Create Post from the sidebar, or go to so-me.studio/create-post.

Select platforms and accounts

Pick one or more accounts from the platform sidebar — post to a single account or to many platforms at once. You can connect 20 platforms. Accounts whose connection has expired are flagged and can’t be selected until reconnected.

Write your global content

Enter the caption and attach media in the Global content card. This shared content is applied to every selected platform as the starting point. Use the AI generate button right in the content field to write a caption for you, then tweak it.

Customize per platform (optional)

Select any active platform to override the shared content for that platform — adjust the caption, media, post type, or platform-specific options (for example, a subreddit and flair for Reddit, a board for Pinterest, or a channel for Discord) without affecting the others.

Choose the post type

Set the content format — Text, Image, Video, Carousel, Reel, Story, and more. Available types depend on the platform.

Add and edit media (optional)

Upload images or videos, or pick from your Media Library. Attached images can be edited in the built-in image editor before posting — crop, rotate, and annotate.

Review the preview and any issues

Check the live Preview to see how the post renders on each platform. The Issues panel lists any platform that’s missing something required (for example, a platform that needs media or has a caption that’s too long) so you can fix it before publishing.

Schedule or publish

  • Schedule — Pick a future date and time
  • Post now — Publish immediately
  • Save as draft — Save to drafts for later
On Standard plans, posts created by members who require approval are submitted for review instead of going out directly. See Approvals for the full review flow.

Publishing progress

When you publish, a single posting-progress card appears that tracks every selected platform in one place, in real time.
  • Each platform gets its own row that advances through steps — Initialize → Upload → Process → Publish — and each completed step turns into a green check. The Upload step only appears when the post has media, and the Process step only for posts published right away.
  • Posts set for a future time show a Scheduled state, and their final step reads Schedule instead of Publish.
  • The card reflects real per-platform timing from live publishing events — the “Published” state only appears once the platform actually accepts the post.
  • If a platform fails, its row shows the error while the others continue. You can retry failed posts later from Posts.
Publishing to many platforms counts one post against your plan’s post allowance per platform. If you don’t have enough remaining posts for every selected platform, the publish is blocked before anything is sent.

TikTok compliance

When posting to TikTok, you’ll be asked to confirm the required disclosure and content settings (for example, who can view the video and commercial-content disclosures) before publishing, to stay compliant with TikTok’s rules.

Available types vary by platform — the composer only offers the formats each selected account supports. See Connecting accounts for the full platform list.

Tips

Write the shared caption once in Global content, then fine-tune only the platforms that need a different tone or format — there’s no need to recreate the post per platform.
Need branded graphics? Build them with Templates in the Composer, then attach the result to your post.
